Producing Superior Quality Wine Grapes for Over 12 years...

A great vineyard begins by matching the ground with the grape variety.

In the early stages we groom the soil and prepare it for the cuttings which spent their first season in our nursery.  Finally the rows are formed and the plants are given their new homes.

The first year of planting is spent establishing the new plants.  Our practice, subject to vine growth,  is to train young vines up the wire in one year, rather than the typcial two year period.  This method allows us to get a small yield in the second year.

Harvest is determined by a variety of conditions, including those set by the winemaker who will be using the grapes.  Winemakers analyze sugar content, chemical structure, pH, and the flavors.  Each variety has its own requirements, and each winemaker has his own requirements.

After harvest we prepare the Vineyard for winter by helping the plants to go dormant before harsh winter weather sets in.  The plants then wait for the spring thaw where they can renew the process of  creating wonderful fruit.

Please take a few moments and enjoy the pictures below.  The pictures are structured to walk you through the growing cycle from planting to dormancy.
